You Would Learn Self-Love is the Most Important Love

Around the age of 8 years old everyone would be required to learn about self-esteem. They would learn that self-esteem is a realistic respect for or favorable impression of oneself; self-respect.

Self-esteem has been defined as ego. The ego has also been defined as the part of the psychic apparatus that experiences and reacts to the outside world and thus mediates between the primitive drives of the id and the demands of the social and physical environment.

Most people think that to love yourself is an act of conceitedness. Conceitedness is having an excessively favorable opinion of one's abilities and/or appearance.

You would be required to learn to love yourself and respect yourself. Most people only eat healthy because they fear illness and/or want to look good. What if you ate healthy because you loved yourself and you did it for you and not out of fear and not out of ego or conceit?

When you learn the value of self-esteem you would also learn to set boundaries. You would not put other people's needed before those of your own. Women especially need to learn this. At an early age we are taught that women are care givers. I think that women are more nurturing than men and this is a good thing. However, more and more men and women are sacrificing their wants, needs and desires for someone else. I am here to tell you.. you aren't going to get points at the Pearly White Gates for playing martyr.

I personally don't know how anyone can love and respect another if they can't love and respect themselves. If you learn how to love and respect yourself you will naturally be able to love and respect another.

So if I were God the commandment would be - Thou Shalt Learn the Value of Self-Esteem.

Doing Something Nice for Someone Else Would be Orgasmic

Every time someone did something nice for someone they would have an orgasmic experience. The experience would occur only when the compliment given, favor done, were truly genuinely felt. If you lied when giving a compliment you would NOT have the orgasmic experience.

Generally people feel good about themselves and the world when they do something nice for someone such as hold a door open. I recently saw a pretty wealthy woman on television being interviewed and she was asked by the BBC if she was a nice person and she said "Yes, I hold the elevator door open for people. People in New York just don't do that. I am elevator friendly." This woman sat up proudly while speaking these words... you could tell she felt good about herself when being elevator friendly.

I know that there would be people running around the planet doing nice things for someone just for the orgasmic experience. That would be like chasing a rainbow. The nice act MUST be a genuine heart felt gesture. No hidden agendas, no score cards... just the plain and simple act of one human being being kind to another.

So if I were God one of the Commandments would be - Thou Shalt Know the Feeling of Doing Something Nice for Another.

The Velveteen Rabbit Would Be Required Reading

The Velveteen Rabbit would be required reading at the age of 8 years old. Which would be followed by an intense study of The Velveteen Principles.

The Velveteen Rabbit is a children's story about a stuffed toy rabbit who learns what it means to be real and the value of friendship, love, acceptance and honesty.

If you aren't being real, you aren't alone. Just look around. The world would not be in the state it is in if people were keeping it real.

Do you know what the word "real" means? It's okay to admit that you think you might know but aren't really sure. You can be "real" and admit that you don't know.

Real means true, genuine, not counterfeit or imitation, authentic and sincere.

Real means to tell the truth.

There is value in being real. There is value in being truthful. There is value to being genuine and sincere.

It's important to be real, truthful, genuine and sincere to everyone you encounter. So it's good to say "don't lie". However, I think it would be extremely difficult for someone to be truthful to people when they aren't even truthful to themselves.

If the first thing you learned as a child was the importance of being honest with yourself then I actually don't think you would have a hard time being honest with other people in the world. In facts, I bet it would come naturally to you.

So if I were God one of the commandments would be - Thou Shalt Know the Value of Being Real

You Would Know There is No Reality - Only Perception

Everyone on the planet would know the difference between fact and opinions. You would know and not have to be told. You would understand when someone explains a place, person or event that this is merely a perception that another individual is expressing. This is how the person who is communicating sees the events of the world through their eyes.

Facts and opinions would be clearly identified. If I walked into a room with 2 loafs of bread. The only fact is that I have walked into the room with 2 loafs of bread. Anything else that is conveyed about the situation is a perceived perception.

Everyone would learn John Godfrey Saxe's (1816 - 1887) story 5 BLINDMEN AND THE ELEPHANT at the age of 10 years old.

It was six men of Hindustan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind)
That each by observation
Might satisfy the mind.

The first approached the Elephant
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side
At once began to bawl:
"Bless me, it seems the Elephant
Is very like a wall".

The second, feeling of his tusk,
Cried, "Ho! What have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear".

The third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Then boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake."

The Fourth reached out an eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he;
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Than, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Hindustan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right
And all were in the wrong.

So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!

So if I were God the commandment would be - Thou Shalt Know Reality is Perception

You Wouldn't be Able to Talk About Stuff Unless You Had an Experience

Stuff means.. people, places, events and how something should be done.

You would not be able to verbally place an opinion about a place you have never been to, a person you have never met, an event that you have never attended or how something should be done that you haven't actually done.

You can say that you want to go somewhere, meet someone or do something. But you would not be allowed to express an opinion that is based on information you have gathered (read, saw on television or heard). You can only share information that is experience based.

Remember I would not want to control your thoughts so you can think whatever you choose, however, when you open your mouth, if it is not a personal experience you are going to share, nothing will come out.

If you ate at a restaurant and didn't like it you get to say so and you will be heard. If you heard a restaurant was bad, but have not eaten there, you won't be heard.

Remember the world and everything in it is based on perception. It is okay to share your perception of the restaurant and it will be heard.

Can you imagine there would be a lot less talking and more time to listen for the birds.

So if I were God the commandment would be - Thou Shalt Only Speak about Experiences.

You Must Travel to Another Country

You would be required at the age of 10 years old to visit another country for at least 5 days. This would be required every 5 years, from the age of 10 years old to the day you die.

You get to pick where you want to go and how long you want to stay there. You must stay a minimum of 5 days. You would not be required to learn another language, however, it might make your trip better. Personally, I am a fan of learning languages when visiting counties.

Can you imagine, everyone would get to experience the world! How cool would that be?!?!?!?

So if I were God the commandment would be - Thou Shalt Travel to Other Countries

With Love & Light~

You Must Grow Some Sort of Food

You would be required to grow some sort of food. You can grow herbs, vegetables or plant a fruit tree. It would be mandatory that everyone on the planet contribute to the food source. Why should just a few people or organizations be growing food for everyone?

We aren't talking rocket science here. You put a seed in a bucket with mud and water it. That simple!

This could be food that you share with your friends and neighbors. How nice would that be?

At the age of 5 years old everyone on the planet would have to be growing something somewhere... some how.

So if I were God the commandment would be... Thou Shalt Grow Food

Intentionally Create Your Day

You would wake up and under your pillow would be a piece of paper and a box of 7 crayons (7 the number of colors in the rainbow). Before you could get out of bed you would have to communicate on that paper how your day will be. You can use pictures or words. Once you are done you sign your name to it and it disappears into thin air. Actually it dematerializes and your intention is then riding the energy waves to manifest itself.

Some people intentionally create their days now. And some people actually unintentionally are creating their days.

When you wake up and lay in bed thinking about what you are going to do, what you have to do, who you have to talk to during the day, you are in essence creating your day.

But what if it were mandatory that you create your day... you would be responsible for the day that you experience. It is up to you... remember you will always have your free will and choice.. to either create a good day or a bad day. And you can't play victim... cause whatever you experience will be what you created.

I bet a lot of people would catch on to the power they have to create great days.

It would be great! If you walked into a room and someone started pissing and moaning... who is going to listen? And who is going to care? This Dude or Dudette did it to his or herself! No more room on the planet for victims. Time to step up to the plate and take responsibility for your creating abilities.

So if I were God the commandment would be - Thou Shalt Intentionally Create Each and Every Day.

Hearing The Birds Sing Will Rejunivate Your Cells

Every time you stopped what you were doing and actually heard the singing of birds, took the time to listen to them... the cells in your body would be rejuvenated.

This would make one consciously connect to nature, be more in toon to their surrounds, turn off the television or idle noise pollution.

Can you imagine, more people would make an effort to rid the planet of unnecessary noise. More people would slow down and listen for the birds. More people would go out of their way to find the birds singing. Birds could even be brought into hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers.

Personally, I think this is happening now.

So if I were God the commandment would be.... Thou Shalt Know the Value of a Bird's Song

With Love & Light ~

The Real Intention Behind Everything Would Be Exposed

The intention of an action would be exposed.

Remember, I am not about controlling your thoughts or feelings.

I am also not about taking away someones free will and choices.

For example, let's say that you offered to help someone do something. But you had a hidden agenda to link yourself with this person (which would be all about your insecurities), the person would see, without a shadow of a doubt, what your true agenda is. The person then gets to exercise his/her free will and make the choice to participate in your manipulation and insecurities or to pass.

Think of how good it would feel if someone offered to assist you in some way and you know that their intention was the purest for all involved! How great would that be?!?!?!

This will benefit everyone! The person who is the manipulator who operates with an agenda would know that the agenda will be known. And the person who chooses to engage with the manipulator can no longer play victim.

Wow, what a planet this would be.

So if I were God one of the commandments would be... Thou Shalt Know All Intentions Shall Be Known.

You Would Not Be Allowed to Ask Someone To Do Something that You Yourself Would not do

If you thought of asking someone to do something that you yourself would not do, nothing would come out of your mouth when you went to speak.

I would not control your mind or what you think. But I would not allow people to say things to hear themselves speak, to make themselves feel good about themselves, or feed their ego. You can think it, but you would not be allowed to speak it.

For example, you would not be allowed to ask someone to borrow something if you yourself would not lend that thing to a friend.

Another example, you would not be allowed to ask someone to drive across town if you yourself would not drive across town for that friend.

I personally have a friend who every 2 years calls me and says, "I would like a copy of your client database for my business." I tell him that I would like a copy of his client database for his business." He begins to tell me the many reasons I cannot have a copy of his client database for his business and I say, "Dude, please do not ask me to do something for you that you would not be willing to do for me!" There is just something not right about that.

Lol...lol... can you imagine how it would be if you were talking to someone and they were going to ask you something, to borrow something, to do them a favor and then nothing came out of their mouth. You would know a lot from this. It also just might make someone think really long and hard about what they would even contemplate asking another individual.

Yep, if I were God the commandment would be.... Thou Shalt Not Ask Another To Do Anything You Would Not Yourself Be Willing To Do.

With Love & Light ~

You Would Be Required to Always Have Food With You

I personally would make it mandatory that everyone carries some sort of food with them. I know that traveling from one country to another there are restrictions on what you can and can't bring. But I am hear to tell you that you can travel with chocolate all over the planet freely!

I am going to share with you some personal stories about the times when I did and did not have food with me. Having food with me... made all the difference in the world.

On a recent trip to Iceland I flew into JFK airport. It was after the ice storm that occurred in the month of February when the planes were frozen on the runways. I got off of the plane in New York went through customs and went to the American Airlines counter to check in. I waited in that line for 8 hours. My flight from Iceland to New York was approximately 6 hours. I got hungry in the line, like many others around me. Even if you were with someone who could hold your place in line there was no place open at the airport to get something to eat. It was an ordeal that could have been a bit more pleasant if I had a granola bar in my purse.

Last December I flew from Christchurch, New Zealand to Queenstown, New Zealand. The weather was rainy and windy. The pilot tried 3 times to make a landing and just couldn't. He informed us that we would be flying to Dunedin, which is a one hour flight and a 3 hour ride back to Queenstown. A bus was waiting at the Dunedin airport to bring us back to the Queenstown airport. I sat next to this girl who was born and raised in New Zealand. I started talking to her. She said her name was "Pru", short for Prudence. We were both beginning to get hungry and I remembered I live by my rule. I asked her "Would you like a granola bar?" She asked, "Is it from America?" I said, "Yes." She sat up in her seat so very excited and said "Sure." A few minutes later I asked her, "Would you like a piece of chocolate?" And she asked, "Is it from America?" I responded, "Yes." She said, "Sure." A few moments later I asked, "Would you like a piece of gum?" She asked, "Is it from America?" I answered, "Yes." She said, "Sure." During this time we talked about life in New Zealand. How the people in the south island feel about people in the north island and vice versa. It was a 3 hour ride and we had lots of fun. Bonding over food was amazing. When we got off off the bus Pru gave me a hug and said, "Thank you so much for sharing your food from America." I think it was the highlight of Pru's month.

I am a fan of perception. To me it was just a granola bar, piece of chocolate and stick of gum. But to Pru it was food from America!

On December 6th, 2008, I got on a plane in Houston and was blessed to have sat next to 2 amazing women. Women who will be in my life forever. I pulled out my bag of chocolate and asked "Would you like some?" They both reached in their purses and pulled out bags of chocolate and we had a great laugh. It was so much fun getting to exchange chocolate with each other. Another bonding experience with food.

So if I were God... one of my commandments would be... Thou Shalt Always Carry Food
